It has come to my attention that while people are concerned - and rightfully so - about cruelty to animals, one aspect has been neglected. That is of course, the concern of cruelty and neglect being meted out to animals/creatures/monsters/critters of a digital variety.

How many times did you forgot to flush the screen, leading to your digital pet wallowing in filth and pestilence? How about the times you left the light on at night, leaving your pet to sleep fitfully and restlessly. And worst of all would be to subject your digital companion to slowly starve to death in spite of persistent calls for subsistence. If you did, then shame on you.
